Authentic Tibetan Dorjee feature buddhist designs and areused during traditional Tibetan rituals.
The hand bell and dorjee are the principal ritual objects of Tantric Buddhism. Traditionally, they are used together, the bell in the left hand, the dorjee in the right. The dorjee literally translates to a thunderbolt in Indian Vedic Literature, and can be used as a weapon by the God Indra. The dorjees can come in various prongs such as the 5 and 9 which are more common in traditional Tibetan Buddhism. The 9 prong is more common with the olden tradition, while the 5 prong is more attuned to the newer schools. They represent the union of wisdom and compassion, which is enlightenment. These bells produce an incredible sound when rung.
